Celebrating her 10th anniversary, chandelier artist Kim Songhe's exhibition "Trophy" will be held at Laforet Museum Harajuku from November 6th to 15th. Kim Songhe is a chandelier artist who creates chandeliers made from collages of stuffed toys, American toys, natural materials, and recycled materials. Her works integrate seemingly disparate combinations with a strange balance. She has collaborated with Kimura Kaela on the book "Session" and produced art for Hanae's music video. She has also provided artwork and spatial displays for domestic and international companies and brands, including BEAMS, JILL STUART, and LOVELESS. This exhibition will explore Kim Songhe's memories of the "trophies" she received as a student, tracing her own path to date and expressing her future potential. Exhibits include a giant 2-meter-tall chandelier specially made for the exhibition, a Gremlin room filled with Gremlin gizmos, and original prints by Ichihashi Orie, who photographed Kim Sung-hye's portfolio. There will also be an installation in Kim Sung-hye's studio, recreating her work space. Also, to coincide with the exhibition, Kim Sung-hye will be releasing her first portfolio, "Trophy," on November 6th (regular edition 4,000 yen, special edition 10,000 yen). The book, themed "graduation/departure," is packed with Kim Sung-hye's past and future.
