Emmy Award-nominated actress Emilia Clarke has been chosen to appear in the campaign images for Dior's fine jewelry collection, "Rose des Vents," which will be released on November 18th.
This is Clarke's first collaboration with a luxury brand, having played Sarah Connor in the film "Terminator: Genisys" and been nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in "Game of Thrones." The photos were taken by top fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier.
"Rose des Vents" means wind rose in French, and the theme of the collection is "Rose des Vents," a wind rose painted in mosaic at the bottom of the pond at "Rhumbs," the mansion in Granville where Christian Dior spent his childhood. Regarding the jewelry, which features a round medallion (pendant) motif of overlapping stars and roses, Dior Fine Jewelry creator Victor de Castellane said, "The design, which combines the wind rose, a childhood memory of Christian Dior, the lucky star charm he carried with him, and the roses he loved so much, alludes to the entire history of the Maison."
The bracelet and necklace, made of yellow gold, mother-of-purple, lapis lazuli, turquoise, pink gold, and pink opal, are both reversible, with the medallion flipping at the end of the chain according to the wearer's movements.
