Cacao nibs are the raw material for chocolate, made by roasting cacao beans, separating the shells, and finely crushing them. Numerous studies have been conducted on the theobromine and cocoa polyphenols contained in cacao beans, and they have recently been attracting attention as a superfood.

"Happy Nibs" uses pure cocoa nibs from Hotel Chocolat's own farm on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. To enhance the flavor, they are coated in single-origin 65% super milk chocolate, also from our own farm.

Coating the chocolate is the perfect combination with the cocoa nibs, allowing you to experience the "restorative power" and "the natural blessings of Saint Lucia" hidden within the cocoa in each and every piece.

【About Hotel Chocolat's own farm, Labo Estate】
In 2006, Angus and Peter, founders of the British hotel Hotel Chocolat, purchased a 250-year-old cocoa farm on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia to realize their dream of ethically cultivating cocoa. Working in collaboration with local residents, they spent around two years getting cocoa cultivation on track.

In 2011, they also opened the eco-friendly Rabot Hotel on the same site. Guests can fully savor the bounty of cocoa while enjoying a resort stay, including cocoa cuisine and farm experiences.

●About Hotel Chocolat
Hotel Chocolat is a cacao lifestyle brand that currently operates over 125 stores across the UK. The company started its business in the UK in 1993 as an online chocolate shop. It is known for its diversified cacao-related product lineup, not limited to chocolate, but also including restaurants and cafes serving cacao dishes, hotels, beauty products and alcohol, and is expanding its business all over the world.

Based on the following three pillars, we are continuing to develop various initiatives to fully convey the appeal of cacao and enhance its value.
1. Originality
Developing original cacao products that go beyond chocolate
Our cafes and restaurants offer food made with cacao nibs, alcoholic beverages such as cacao beer, and cacao-derived beauty products. We are always pursuing innovation and originality, proposing the unknown surprises and joys of cacao in a variety of forms.
2. Authenticity
From cacao cultivation to delivery, we provide authentic chocolate with a focus on quality.
Based on the philosophy of "More Cacao, Less Sweet," we utilize the natural flavor and individuality of cacao to create healthy, high-quality chocolate with reduced sugar content that is "safe for the whole family to enjoy." In recent years, we have also won numerous awards. We offer original, authentic chocolate.
3. Ethical
Ethical cacao and sustainable initiatives that go beyond fair trade
Hotel Chocolat owns the vast cacao farm "RABOT ESTATE," which has been in operation since 1745, on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, surrounded by beautiful nature. We implement a unique ethics program with our cacao producers and aim to operate a sustainable business based on fair partnerships.

The first store in Japan opened in November 2018. Our first street-level store opened in Omotesando, Tokyo on November 1, 2019. We currently operate 19 stores in Japan and an online store. Additionally, we have launched the world's first cafe, "Rabot Estate Coffee by Hotel Chocolat." This innovative café, serving cacao dishes, is garnering attention.
We plan to continue opening new stores in the future in order to "bring happiness to people throughout Japan through chocolate." *As of press time (March 2, 2021)
