Yebisu Garden Place's Christmas event, "Baccarat ETERNAL LIGHTS -Shapes of Joy-," will be held in the Center Plaza of Yebisu Garden Place from November 7th to January 11th.
This year's Christmas theme is "France." A 10-meter-tall Christmas tree will be set up in the Clock Plaza. Decorated with antique-style ornaments featuring star and angel motifs and the word "Noel," the tree recreates a classic French town.
The main venue, Center Plaza, will feature a chandelier created in 2014 to commemorate Baccarat's 250th anniversary. At 28.4 meters tall and 4.6 meters wide, it boasts 410 lights and weighs 1.8 tons. This chandelier, the largest in Baccarat's history, is the result of a collaboration with Yasumichi Morita of GLAMOROUS co., ltd., a designer active both in Japan and overseas. Based on the concept of "Session of Sparkle," 17 chandeliers—two of Baccarat's signature styles, the "Zenith" with its elegant and classic design and the "Solstice" with its innovative, flowing teardrop-like form—are arranged on four levels, along with mirrors. Additionally, five shops will open in the mountain hut-style market, titled "Marche de Noël." Items on sale include food like "galettes," a French buckwheat crepe dish, and hot sandwiches, as well as Christmas goods like ornaments and gift cards, and preserved flowers, both of which originated in France. A tree will also be set up on the 38th floor of Yebisu Garden Place Tower. A lighting ceremony will be held on the first day, November 7th, and starting at 2:30 PM, nine teams from Ebisu vocal and gospel school AtoNO Records and Sing! Ebisu will perform to get into the Christmas spirit. The Baccarat chandeliers and illuminations will be illuminated simultaneously at 5:00 PM.
