Leonard unveils history with projection at Ebisu Garden Place!

Nov 13, 2014

On November 18th, LEONARD will be hosting a projection at Joël Robuchon restaurant in Yebisu Garden Place. The projection will feature a variety of the brand's unique prints, as well as a video showcasing its craftsmanship. The three-and-a-half-hour screening will begin at 6:30 PM and unravel the brand's history. Founded in 1958 by Jacques Léonard and Daniel Tribouillard, the brand developed a printing technique for knitwear at a time when printing on stretchy fabrics was difficult. Since then, the brand has developed techniques such as the "Fully Fashioned" technique for printing pullovers and multicolor printing techniques for silk jersey. The project will feature items featuring animal and geometric prints, centered around the brand's signature motif, the orchid. The 15SS season will also feature a lineup of casual items made with innovative materials. The collection includes oversized jumpsuits, patchwork overalls, multi-coloured abstract prints, asymmetrical denim dresses and denim prints on silk and cotton.
