The third annual sake market, "AOYAMA SAKE FLEA - New Rice and Sake," will be held on November 7th and 8th in front of the United Nations University in Aoyama, Tokyo. Following a successful second event in June, this third edition of the market will bring together 14 select breweries from across Japan. Participating breweries include Hachinohe Brewery in Aomori Prefecture, Aoki Brewery in Niigata Prefecture, and Miyasaka Brewery in Nagano Prefecture. New breweries will also be participating, including Aizu Brewery in Fukushima Prefecture, known for its signature brand "Yamanoi," Kumazawa Brewery in Kanagawa Prefecture, which produces "Tensei," Imanishi Brewery in Nara Prefecture, which sells "Mimurasugi," Nanbu Bijin in Iwate Prefecture, Yamawa Brewery in Miyagi Prefecture, Izumibashi Brewery in Kanagawa Prefecture, and Yoshinotomo Brewery in Toyama Prefecture. Also available are popular tasting tickets. Prices are 1,000 yen for five cups and 2,000 yen for ten cups. Original sake cups will also be available this time. In addition to sake, there will also be a market for newly harvested rice and Japanese fermented foods. The market will sell newly harvested rice from farmers who have stalls at the farmers market, as well as miso and bonito flakes. A new rice tasting booth will be set up in the center of the venue, and visitors can enjoy snacks that go well with sake, such as dried foods, seaweed, and pickles. Other attractions include a sake ware market selling sake cups made from Hasami ware from Nagasaki Prefecture and antique sake cups; a sake booth with a selection of sake suitable for warming; a water bar showcasing approximately 20 types of water from around the world; and a sake and DJ booth by Takashima Sake Brewery in Shizuoka Prefecture.
