This Halloween, Bobby Dazzler will be appearing at Shinjuku Isetan and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi

Oct 15, 2014

A pop-up shop for London-based doll brand BOBBY DAZZLER will be open from October 15th to 28th at East Park/Re-Style Gift on the 3rd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Store.

This event is one of this year's Halloween events, and following on from last year, BOBBY DAZZLER will be introducing a new "Kigurumi Series." Last year, a series of animals wearing capes was released, but this year's lineup includes unique items such as an "old man wearing a pumpkin costume" (14,000 yen), exclusive to this store. Other plush toys with removable hats and capes will also be available, making them suitable for use outside of Halloween. "Isetan communicated the general requirements during the stuffed animal production stage, but the two designers created something completely new and innovative because they used fabric as a base and drew inspiration from it. This year, we aimed to go even further with the message of 'enjoying Halloween even more,' so we're very happy with the finished product," said the buyer in charge.

Bobby Dazzler is a London-based doll brand run by two women, Fumie Kamijo and Rosie Short. Under the motto of "recycle," they create handmade dolls using vintage materials such as secondhand clothes and leftover fabric from the production process of clothing and miscellaneous goods. Each doll is unique in its own way, making it a distinctive feature.

The pop-up shop will have a selection of approximately 90 stuffed animals, and 10 more will be available at "Re-Style Lady," which opened in the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
