Isetan Shinjuku has teamed up with the magazine SPUR to create a fantastical city throughout the building. The theme for this year's event is "SPUR CITY," running until September 16th. Based on the theme of "Shopping is Travel," participating floors, primarily the second and third floors of the main building, are decorated with objects and items evocative of travel, such as airplanes and suitcases. Jo Malone London, available in the fragrance section on the first floor of the main building, evokes the image of travel through the sense of smell. Sales staff will transport you to various parts of the world through layering scents, offering an encounter with unknown scents. Essential skincare and haircare items for travel are now available in sets with fashion brand pouches. This beautiful pouch-style set featuring body and haircare products from a natural cosmetics brand, available at Beauty Apothecary on the second basement floor of the main building, is sure to inspire you even if you're not planning on traveling. "MUVEIL x John Masters Organics," "MUVEIL WORK x OF COSMETICS," "Beautiful People x UKA," "LEXAMI x KORRES Natural Products," "And Wander x Yumedreaming Epicurean," and "Ludlow x Jurlique" all come in mini-sized cosmetic kits perfect for a week-long trip.
If you're looking for clothes and bags to wear on your trip, check out the domestic brands lined up in the special "Re-Style Airport Lounge" at Re-Style on the third floor of the main building. You can enjoy a variety of items at once, such as a nylon daypack (16,000 yen) featuring animal patches by embroidery artist Koichiro Takagi, a neck pillow (3,600 yen) with a graphic camouflage pattern by artists Hiroshi Iguchi and Kensei Yabuno, and a dress with an attached knapsack (21,000 yen). For those who want to experience the feeling of traveling from the comfort of their own home, we recommend the limited-time "Bobby Dazzler" stuffed animal, dressed in a T-shirt featuring the names of cities from around the world. Choose your favorite city from options like "PARIS," "TOKYO," "HAWAII," "LONDON," and "NY." The first 20 customers will receive an original bag, so be sure to check it out. If you want to experience the feeling of traveling around Japan, why not purchase some tableware created in collaboration with illustrator Akko by "KUTANI SEAL," a brand of Kutani ware, a traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture? In addition to the "Chrysanthemum Small Bowl 'Hawaii'" (set of two for 2,500 yen), there are other items with colorful illustrations of cities like Tokyo, Hawaii, and New York, so just looking at them will make you feel happy. We also highly recommend the craft kit from "KUTANI SEAL," which allows you to create your own Kutani ware. Choose your favorite sticker, stick it on a container, and mail it to us, and we'll print it and send it back to you. Also available are a wide selection of Oswald items, chosen as the event's main character. Items like a parka (¥18,000) in collaboration with Americana and a tote bag (¥14,000) created in collaboration with Beautiful People are sure to be useful on any trip. The storefront is decorated with a fictional town where Oswald could appear at any moment. On the 13th and 14th, there will be a photoshoot with Oswald. At the photo spot on Stage 2 on the second floor of the main building, a professional photographer will take photos, which will be printed out on the spot and given to you. You can also have the photos burned onto a CD-ROM and placed in a special magnetic case (for a ¥1,000 fee). This is sure to be a special period, where you can enjoy shopping like you're traveling.
