FENDI ANNOUNCES JAPAN BRAND AMBASSADOR ‘RYOKO YONEKURA’

FENDI, a luxury brand based in Rome, Italy, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ryoko Yonekura, a leading actress and model, as its Japan brand ambassador. This is the first time in the Maison's 56-year history since it arrived in Japan in 1965 that it has appointed a Japanese brand ambassador.
While preserving its traditions, FENDI has always pursued unparalleled creativity and excellence, continuing to innovate. Through her appointment as Fendi's Japan brand ambassador, Ryoko Yonekura's partnership with Fendi will demonstrate the Maison's savoir-faire and its tireless pursuit of diversity.
Since her debut as a fashion model in 1993, Ryoko Yonekura has appeared in numerous television dramas, films, and stage productions, winning numerous awards. In 2008, she made her debut as the lead in the Japanese version of the musical "CHICAGO," and in July 2012, she became the first Asian actor to make her Broadway debut in the same production. In April 2020, she established her own agency, "Desafío," and continues to be active as one of Japan's top actresses.
On becoming the first brand ambassador in Japan, Ryoko Yonekura said: "I am extremely honored as this is the first time in Fendi's 56-year history that they have appointed a brand ambassador in Japan. I resonate with Fendi's attitude of constantly innovating despite being a global brand, and I hope to be able to convey their appeal to as many people as possible through the fashion scene."
