As an actress, Barrymore has deep ties to the cosmetics industry. From 2004 to 2005, she served as a spokeswoman for Lancôme, and in 2007, she was involved in the production of products as the face of CoverGirl.
Now, Barrymore has teamed up with the design and manufacturing company Maesa Group to launch Flower, a cosmetics brand named after the film production company she founded.
The brand offers approximately 180 items, primarily color items such as lipsticks, eyeshadows, and nail polishes. Based on the concept of "true luxury at the masses," the price range is set at $5 to $15, "a price that women who want to stay fashionable even in these difficult economic times can afford without feeling guilty." By keeping advertising and packaging costs low, the brand claims to have achieved the same quality as high-end cosmetics.
All products are made in the USA and are not tested on animals. The brand began selling at Walmart stores nationwide and on walmart.com in January.
