Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, the first luxury hotel in Japan by global hotel group Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, will open in Toranomon Hills on June 11th. Details were revealed to the press on the 9th. The hotel will have 164 guest rooms, including eight suites, located on four floors from the 47th to 50th floors. Even the standard rooms are 50 square meters and cost between 50,000 and 60,000 yen per night. The largest suite, the Andaz Sky Suite, is 210 square meters and costs 1 million yen per night. Each room features large windows offering panoramic views of Tokyo. The interior design is a collaboration between New York-based designer Tony Chi and Shinichiro Ogata, founder of SIMPLICITY, which has designed Aesop shops and other stores. The hotel's 37th floor also features AO SPA AND CLUB, where members and hotel guests can experience personalized care from skilled therapists, a fitness center equipped with Technogym's ARTIS, the first of its kind in a Japanese hotel, and a homely relaxation space. The main dining area, Andaz Tavern, on the 51st floor, seats 202 and offers European cuisine made with fresh Japanese ingredients while overlooking the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Skytree in all four seasons. The hotel's top floor, the 52nd floor, is comprised of a chapel, a rooftop bar, and an Andaz Studio, making it ideal for weddings, banquets, meetings, and other events. A Mori Building spokesperson commented, "As with Toranomon Hills, we expect the hotel's guests to be office workers and foreigners. Along with the restaurants and facilities that will open in the surrounding area, we also plan to work towards the 2020 Tokyo Olympics."
