Toranomon Hills (1-23-1 to 4 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo), scheduled to open on June 11, has announced a new mascot to symbolize the facility. The message behind Toranomon Hills is "Hello, Mirai Tokyo!" It embodies Mori Building's vision for the facility's opening: "Tokyo's future starts here. We will open up the future of Tokyo from Toranomon Hills." Inspired by this vision, Toranomon was created as a new mascot to use Toranomon Hills as a catalyst to open up the future of Tokyo. Toranomon is a cat-shaped business robot who traveled from the 22nd century, 100 years in the future, to create a "Mirai Tokyo" where everyone can have fun. His role at Toranomon Hills is to innovate the world and bring ideas to life. The character was created in collaboration with Fujiko Productions. Its appearance is identical to the popular character "Doraemon," with the only differences being its ears and pure white body. The character has stripes on its head and body, in reference to the logo of Toranomon Hills, which is based on the character "mon" (gate), and its trademark bell around its neck is a shining gold color.
The character will also be featured on the covers of paper items such as guidebooks and pamphlets available at Toranomon Hills.
