"Kaori Candles" - Japanese candles that let you enjoy the colours and scents of Japan's seasons
"Kaori Candles" are different from aroma candles; they are a new type of candle never before seen, where you can "enjoy the scent, colour and flickering of light." Now, with the cooperation of Nakamura Candle, a long-established Japanese candle maker, and aroma fragrance producer Tomoko Saito, we have carried out countless discussions and manufacturing experiments to create this original product, the new Meisou ROUSOKU series, "Kaori Candles."

Now, when it is difficult to travel easily due to the spread of COVID-19, we developed this product with the hope that by enjoying a "simulated experience" of the seasonal scents and colors of various parts of Japan, you can easily and simply turn your time at home into a relaxing moment.

We imagined the scenery of Japan's four seasons, thought about the words and colors that came to mind, and selected words from the 72 seasonal periods (※) to represent the changing of the seasons throughout the year. Then, to allow you to enjoy a different scent each month inspired by these "scenery, words, and colors," we will deliver a Japanese candle that allows you to enjoy 12 different scents throughout the year, one for each month.
Three ways to enjoy scented candles
Enjoy the fresh seasonal scent when you open it
Enjoy the seasonal colors as interior décor
Enjoy the flickering flame and subtle fragrance of a Japanese candle
Enjoy 12 different seasonal colors and scents
Enjoy 12 different seasonal colors and scents
*The 72 seasonal divisions are the 24 solar terms, which divide a year (12 months) into half-months, with each 15 days being a solar term. The 72 seasonal terms are created by dividing each solar term into thirds of approximately 5 days each.

With over 13 years of experience in the field, she established the "Aroma Fragrance Design Studies" course, which focuses on aroma blending and spatial design, and has had a cumulative student body of over 2,000 students. She has created over 6,000 scents and is also committed to nurturing and producing Aroma Fragrance Designers(R) across the country. What are the Japanese candles from "Kyo ROUSOKU+"?

Japanese candles have wicks made from washi paper and the pith of rush grass, and wax made from wax tree nuts, vegetable oils, and rice bran wax. While a large proportion of Western candles are made with petroleum-based ingredients, Japanese/Kyoto candles are made entirely from plants, produce less oily smoke, and are considered environmentally friendly.

The first product in the Kyo ROUSOKU+ line is the Meditation Candle, an original Japanese candle designed to help you spend time at home or on your own.
