On March 2nd, ANN DEMEULEMEESTER, designer of Sebastien Meunier, held his Fall/Winter 2017-18 women's collection show in the Palais de Chaillot ballroom.
The theme, along with keywords like princess and bohemian bride, was "L'esprit" (spirit). The theme of the men's collection announced in January was "L'avenir" (future), and the use of materials such as lace was a link to this theme.
The look, coordinated with a lace hat, gave an impression of greater femininity and lightness than ever before. Layering a lace inner layer or layering lace on a Mongolian lamb blouson created a delicate and sweet finish. In contrast, a Mongolian lamb shawl was coordinated with pleated velvet to create a sense of weightiness.
The back-to-front items such as vests and shirts also drew attention, with vests with feathers sewn into them firmly following the codes of the maison, while adding new accents with goat fur and lace gloves. A new image of Ann Demeulemeester was shown.
