ANN DEMEULEMEESTER, a collection by Sebastien Meunier, held its Fall/Winter 2017-18 men's collection show at the Palais de Tokyo. This season, the image was one of a "bright and lovely future," with the bohemian dandy as the male figure. The word "l'avenir" (future) was featured on various items, such as chokers and shawls, adding an optimistic dimension. A women's collection was also presented at the same time, and what was notable about the men's collection was its feminine yet masculine tailoring. Lacy shirts embroidered with "l'avenir," shirts with lace stand-up collars, feather-adorned hats, ruffled blouses, and jackets with puffed sleeves—all feminine and romantic. The baggy pants paired with the collection also had the volume of a skirt. A red and green iridescent velvet jacket was paired with a Mongolian lamb shawl dyed red and green, showcasing the skillful use of velvet and fur.
The entire collection exuded the elegance that is unique to this brand.
