Sebastien Meunier's ANN DEMEULEMEESTER Spring/Summer 2016 men's show was held at the Palais de Tokyo. The collection, titled "Punky Marie Antoinette," combined punk and military elements with a romantic edge, showcasing a contrast between hard and soft. Simple trench coats and military jackets were coordinated with black pearl and feather necklaces, rhinestone necklaces, and tulle tank tops embroidered with the words "I am red with love," symbolizing love and passion. Distressed knitwear was trimmed with tulle ribbons, adding a feminine touch. Other distressed knitwear was also woven with tulle ribbons and embroidered with feathers. Fringe accessories made from shoelaces also caught the eye. However, what really stood out this season were the use of capes and cummerbunds decorated with motifs. The collection featured embroidered oriental phoenix designs, as well as photographic prints of dogs and bird's nests. The capes in particular created a flag-like visual effect, leaving a strong impression.
