Finished imageVenchi Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of Venchi, an Italian chocolate gelateria with a history of over 140 years, will open its fourth store in Japan, "Venchi Shinjuku Takashimaya Store," on the first basement floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya on December 16, 2020.

One of the leading department stores in central Tokyo, Shinjuku Takashimaya is a beloved landmark in the area between Shinjuku Station's South Exit and Yoyogi Station. Venchi Shinjuku Takashimaya is located in the heart of the Japanese and Western confectionery zone on the food floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya's B1 floor. The flower and bird pattern that is the symbol of all Venchi stores, including the facade of the Ginza store, is used on the fixtures, and despite its compact size, the store fully expresses the Venchi worldview. While aiming to create a glamorous store that customers can enjoy, we will also create a store that does not compromise on both design and quality, such as by incorporating ingenuity into the fixtures to allow for temperature control of chocolate even in an open space environment.
Cremino MatchaTo commemorate the opening, Venchi Shinjuku Takashimaya will be pre-selling a new gelato flavor, "Cremino Matcha." "Cremino Matcha" is a unique and original flavor that is unique to Venchi, with a matcha and white chocolate gelato base and the addition of pistachio paste and the scent of lemon.
With our first store in the Shinjuku Station area, a transportation hub boasting the world's highest passenger numbers, we hope to offer Venchi chocolate gelato to as many customers as possible and give them the feeling of traveling to Italy.

About Venchi
Venchi was founded in Piedmont, Italy in the 1800s by Silviano Venchi, a man with a passion for chocolate. Silviano's talent for transforming chocolate into jewels was highly acclaimed, and his stores gained a reputation as true "chocolate boutiques." Venchi was officially founded in 1878, the same year that Gianduiotto, Venchi's iconic chocolate, was born, and is still beloved today.
Throughout its 140-year history, Venchi has preserved centuries-old Italian recipes such as Gianduiotto and Nougatine, while also continuing to develop innovative and adventurous new flavors.
In 2007, Venchi began developing gelato recipes. Venchi's gelato is made with carefully selected ingredients, primarily of natural origin, with minimal use of synthetic flavors, colorings, and additives, and with a focus on freshness. It offers a wide variety of chocolate flavors as well as a unique world of flavors, including Italian hazelnut and pistachio.
Currently, the company has over 100 directly operated stores around the world, mainly in Italy and major cities such as London, New York, Hong Kong, and Dubai, and is exported to over 70 countries, earning it international acclaim.
