FUGLEN, a cafe in Oslo, Norway, that combines coffee, cocktails, vintage furniture, and interior design to create a lifestyle, will open a pop-up cafe in the 7th floor banquet room of the Isetan Shinjuku store on November 27th. It will run until December 2nd.
This is one of the special events held at the Isetan Shinjuku store's "Scandinavian Modern Collection" event (Main Building, 7th floor event hall). The cafe will serve Norwegian-roasted coffee and espresso drinks, as well as exhibit and sell reproductions of classic furniture featured in the "Norwegian Icons" exhibition held in June of this year.
In addition, Peppe Trulsen, co-owner and head of the vintage design department at FUGLEN, will be visiting Japan to coincide with the event.
A special seminar titled "Why Scandinavian Coffee Now?" will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on November 27th. Yuriko Mori, author of "Scandinavian Guide for Coffee and Bread Lovers," and Kenji Kojima of FUGLEN TOKYO will give a lecture on how to enjoy Scandinavian cafes and coffee. Fuglen will also be setting up a booth at the "Hanshin Nordic Fair 2013" (8th floor event space) at Hanshin Umeda Main Store from December 4th to 10th, and the "Scandinavian Fair" (7th floor event space) at Daimaru Sapporo Store from December 11th to 19th.
