
Japanese confectionery shop HIGASHIYA is accepting reservations for a limited number of "Kagami Mochi" (mirror rice cakes), perfect for the New Year, until December 13th.
In Japan, since ancient times, people have offered "Kagami Mochi" (mirror rice cakes) to the gods to welcome the new year, and then taken them down from the altar and eaten them to pray for good health and safety in the new year. This time, HIGASHIYA is offering a mini-sized Kagami Mochi (1,500 yen) topped with a small mandarin orange. It also comes with a set of Yuzuha and Urajiro.
