
Burberry has released the campaign for its Fall/Winter 2020 collection, directed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci. Gabardine, invented by the brand's founder, Thomas Burberry, has supported adventurers who explore the world and head to uncharted territories. Shot against a backdrop of breathtakingly beautiful nature, the campaign celebrates Burberry's tradition of exploring the unknown, inherited from Thomas, and offers a modern interpretation of this tradition, embodying the concepts of freedom and escapism.
"The campaign is based on memory and introspection, and is inspired by freedom and escape. Lately I have been escaping and traveling often to another time, another place, drawing on my own memories and becoming one with nature. In our dreams, we can all travel anywhere, to past memories or new places. The mirrored truck featured in the campaign evokes a sense of modernity, contrasting the raw strength of the truck with the serene beauty of the nature that surrounds it."

The collection for both men and women celebrates Burberry's rich heritage and symbols, including beige, trench coats, classic tailoring and duffle coats, while incorporating new, modern silhouettes, prints and fabrics. The collection also features the supersized Pocket Bag and the new Olympia bag. The campaign features a talented team of professionals, including director Eli Russell Linnetz, photographer Danko Steiner, stylist Anna Steiner, Burberry's Global Beauty Director Isamaya Ffrench, and hairstylist Gary Gill. The cast also includes a diverse cast of models, including Mariacarla Boscono, Sora Choi, Mattie Fall, Ben Gibson, Tara Halliwell, Isaac Seo, and Mona Tougaard. The video's soundtrack features Philip Glass's "Four Movements for Two Pianos" performed by sister piano duo Katia and Marielle Labèque, who also performed at the Burberry Fall/Winter 2020 collection in February 2020.
