A pop-up event focusing on Hermès' signature scarf, the "carre," has been held at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building since March 5th. It runs until the 11th. The event, titled "BAL DE SOIE (Silk Ball)," showcases a wide variety of silk items, including this season's new patterns and colors. Also available are the "Twilly," an evolution of the carre, and scarf rings. The venue's décor, inspired by Hermès' theme for this year, "Metamorphosis," is vibrant. The walls are boldly covered in designs from the carre, evoking the image of a Parisian ballroom. The space is designed to make visitors feel as if they're participating in a ball. On the 8th and 9th (2:00 PM to 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM), a photo event will be held at a special booth within the venue, where professional photographers will take photos of you wearing a scarf. With a history spanning over 70 years, the scarf has become an Hermès icon, known for its beautiful, diverse colors and artistic designs with stories to tell. Materials include the iconic silk, cashmere silk, and cotton. Shapes range from square to rectangular and triangular. In addition to the standard 90cm, sizes ranging from 70cm to 140cm are available, allowing for a variety of uses. Silk spun from 300 cocoons is meticulously silkscreen printed in each color and beautifully hemmed, creating a masterpiece that can be considered the culmination of artisanal craftsmanship. It has long been beloved by many women. While scarves are often associated with mature women, they are now increasingly popular with young women and men. In order to propose new ways to enjoy scarves, Hermes released a silk app in October 2013 that uses videos and illustrations to show how to tie and style scarves.
