Mister Donut's popular "Sweet Potato Donut" is being made even more delicious this year with the addition of "Additional Sweet Potatoes"

Mister Donut, operated by Duskin Co., Ltd., has completely revamped last year's wildly popular "Satsumaimo Do" with new flavors and varieties. The "Satsumaimo Do" has been further enhanced and will be available nationwide for a limited time and in limited quantities from September 4th.

The popular "Satsumaimo Do" series, which was released for a limited time in September 2019 and received rave reviews from customers, with comments such as "It's like eating real sweet potatoes!", is returning this fall.

This year's "Satsumaimo Do" has been enhanced with two "additional sweet potato" touches in pursuit of even greater deliciousness. The first is the addition of "additional sweet potato" to the doughnut dough. In addition to the Anno sweet potato powder used last year, we've added Beni Haruka powder, known for its high sugar content, to further enhance our "Satsumaimo Do." The second is the new addition to our lineup, "Satsumaimo Do Imokenpi." This is a sweet potato donut base topped with imokenpi, creating an "oiimo" (additional sweet potato). This is an unprecedented combination, adding imokenpi to another sweet potato. This double "oiimo" adds another sweet potato to create a donut that "goes beyond do," in line with this year's company slogan.

This year's lineup also represents the top five favorite sweet potato flavors, based on the results of a nationwide survey of 1,220 men and women conducted by Mister Donut. This new lineup adds imokenpi to last year's popular plain, purple sweet potato, sweet potato, and university sweet potato flavors, all of which were well-received.

There are five varieties in total: "Satsumaimo Do Plain," which lets you fully enjoy the new donut dough; "Satsumaimo Do Purple Sweet Potato," with its purple sweet potato glaze; "Satsumaimo Do Sweet Potato," with its appetizing browned texture; "Satsumaimo Do Daigakuimo," which looks just like the real thing; and "Satsumaimo Do Imokenpi," which combines a fluffy dough with crunchy sweet potato chips. Please enjoy these donuts as a new staple in sweet potato desserts.
