Mie Prefecture is a place where a wide variety of seasonal ingredients and food culture have been passed down through the generations, with places like Ise, the "delicious land" blessed with the bounty of both the mountains and the sea, and Shima, the "Miketsukuni" land that has supplied seafood to the Imperial Family and the Imperial Court.

At this year's Mie Prefecture Fair, the chefs of each restaurant will be offering special menus that bring out the best in the ingredients of Mie Prefecture, such as venison from Mie Gibier, a brand of meat raised in the nature of Mie, and Sakura Pork, which has a fine, tender texture and little of the odor that is typical of pork.

Pappardelle with Mie Gibier Meat Sauce
Pappardelle with Mie Gibier Meat Sauce
All Day Dining Limone will offer two à la carte dishes. We will be offering "Mie Wild Game Pappardelle" with Mie Wild Game Sauce, a deep-flavored dish made with minced and block venison from Mie Prefecture, seasoned with red wine, as well as the "Mie Wild Game and Sakura Pork Mixed Grill," which features a 100% Mie wild game hamburger steak topped with fresh Sakura pork sausages and aged bacon. This is the perfect opportunity to savor the rich flavors of Mie wild game.

In addition, "Teppanyaki & Yakiniku Naniwa" will offer "Iga Beef" on the à la carte menu, "Japanese Cuisine Nakanoshima" will offer a variety of Mie-produced spiny lobster dishes and local sake, and "Counter Kappo Miotsukushi" will offer special limited-time menus such as the premium Matsusaka pork prosciutto served to world leaders at the Ise-Shima Summit. In addition, the takeout shop "Gourmet Boutique Melissa" will be selling 100% pure juice made with mandarin oranges from the Kumano region, which is warm even in winter.
