ASVOFF TOKYO 2013, a short film festival curated by fashion journalist Diane Pernet, will be held at IDOL Tokyo in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, from November 29th to December 1st (open all night on November 30th only).

The event, which began in 2008, is the world's first short film festival themed around fashion, style, and beauty. Past events have featured Japanese fashion brands such as Prada, Gucci, and Hermès, as well as COMME des GARÇONS, Yohji Yamamoto, and UNDERCOVER, and have also featured many celebrities, including Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore, and Dita Von Teese.

The festival premieres annually in Paris and travels to major cities around the world, including New York, London, and Milan. This year marks its fifth visit to Japan. The festival will feature 30 to 40 works, primarily from the Paris premiere.

Pernet is a Paris-based fashion critic and video journalist active in the global fashion scene, including Europe and Japan. He runs the fashion blog "A SHADED VIEW ON FASHION (www.asvof.com)," where he constantly provides the latest information to the fashion and creative industries.
