
The third annual "Shibukura Festival 2013," a festival for female creators, will be held in the Shibuya Parco area from October 18th to 28th. It will be held in conjunction with the Shibuya Fashion Festival, which will be held at the same time.
Parco, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, has continued to support young talent, and as a company that has continued to support young female creators, aims to provide a space for them to present their creative works and for creators to interact with each other, providing a venue for young female creators. Approximately 30 people are scheduled to participate, including artists Chim↑Pom, Nukumizu Maya, Ai Madonna, photographer Inbe Kaori, director Wakusei Halborism, and art idol Mako Principal. Starting at 5:30 PM on the 19th, the rock band N'Shukugawa Boys will host an event called "Fure Fure! Rock 'n' Roll with Full-Power Girls!" (3,000 yen in advance, 3,500 yen on the day) at Shibuya's Club Quattro. On the 28th, starting at 9:30 PM, they will team up with MOOSIC LAB, a project themed around music and film, to hold a one-night-only film festival at Cine Quinto, the cinema inside Parco. Throughout the event, an exhibition will be held at Parco Museum showcasing works carefully selected and directed by Bijutsu Techo editor-in-chief Iwabuchi Teiya and Chim Pom's Ushiro Ryuta. In addition, with the cooperation of Bijutsu Techo, an open exhibition will be held for female creators. Submissions are being accepted on the event's website until the 23rd of this month.
