Jun 21, 2015

A video by teamLab depicting the "tradition" of Matsumoto Sake Brewery, which produces the sake "Sawaya Matsumoto," has been released on the brewery's official website.

Matsumoto Sake Brewery is a sake brewery in Kyoto that has been brewing sake for over 220 years, based on the concept of "shuhari." "Shuhari" is a term that describes the stages of training, and it implies that training begins with preserving tradition, then breaking that tradition with new sensibilities, and finally creating new value by valuing both "shu" and "ha."

Additionally, by overlaying techno music on footage showing the artisans painstakingly working on "Sawaya Matsumoto," the video embodies the Matsumoto Brewery's tradition of "Shu-Ha-Ri." Matsumoto Brewery's official website was also created by teamLab.
