TeamLab creates a "universe of light"... New work "Crystal Universe" unveiled in Ginza

Jun 13, 2015

teamLab will hold a solo exhibition, "teamLab Exhibition, Walk Through the Crystal Universe," at the Pola Museum Annex in Ginza, Tokyo, from August 21 to September 27. The exhibition features "Crystal Universe," a new digital installation using "Interactive 4D Vision." "Interactive 4D Vision" is teamLab's proprietary technology that uses LEDs to interactively project moving, three-dimensional objects in real time. This installation depicts the movement of light in outer space by placing countless light particles in three-dimensional space. Visitors can enter this three-dimensional space of light and, as they walk around, affect the entire space, further transforming the light. Visitors can access the installation from their smartphone browser, select one of the elements that make up the universe, and swipe toward "Crystal Universe" to create the universe.
