Versace's homewares line, Versace Home, will open its first Japan-based store in Tokyo's Ginza district on July 11th (5-6-13 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo). The two-story, 194-square-meter store's interior reflects the Maison's contemporary style. Luxurious materials, such as marble and crystal, are used in white and neutral tones, and the brand's iconic motifs and light wood paneling adorn the walls. The store, which carries the full Versace Home lineup, will offer a complete selection of furniture from the brand's latest collection, "Via Gesu," for living, dining, and bedrooms. The collection's centerpiece is a sofa with a velvety nubuck leather cover. The angle of the arms and the shaping lines that define the quilted backrest are designed with Versace's signature "V" in mind. The dining table legs have been hand-carved to resemble the gate of the house of the brand's founder, Gianni Versace, located on Via Gesu in Milan. The lineup also includes many items never before available in Japan, such as items using textiles designed to completely renew the classic Versace image, bed linens in a rich variety of delicate jacquards, soft silk velvets, and leather details, tableware, bathrobes, and towels.
