Converse Japan and Melrose have collaborated to launch the new brand, "CONVERSE TOKYO." Building on Converse's more than 100-year history, the brand will offer a comprehensive selection of new classics for men and women.
Under the theme of "a style that combines history and modernity, a basic yet creative lifestyle," the brand targets a wide range of people in their 20s to 40s. Centered around basic yet contemporary men's and women's apparel, the brand offers a full lineup of not only the brand's iconic sneakers, but also bags, accessories, stationery, denim, and cut-and-sew items. The lineup includes jeans and jackets crafted with original processing using denim from Okayama, Japan's proud producer; hoodies and bags crafted from Tyvek, a protective clothing material; and cut-and-sew items and bags adorned with Converse's iconic star-shaped studs.
In addition to the newly announced collaboration "20/80," the brand will also be releasing capsule collections in collaboration with Tokyo's leading designers and creators. Furthermore, the brand is set to open its first street-level store in Japan on Aoyama Miyuki Street in September of this year.
Items range in price from 14,000 to 38,000 yen for denim, 11,000 to 26,000 yen for sweatshirts and hoodies, 4,800 to 12,000 yen for T-shirts, 12,000 to 23,000 yen for shirts, 12,000 to 36,000 yen for knitwear, 25,000 to 78,000 yen for coats, and 78,000 to 180,000 yen for leather goods.
