Neil Barrett's Spring/Summer 2016 collection was unveiled in Milan on June 20th. The floor and walls of the venue were covered in various patterns of black and white camouflage, and the first look was a Chesterfield coat in the same pattern.
By incorporating various elements of East and West, such as stripes, checks, leopard prints, and even patterns inspired by Japanese kimonos, the collection embodies a new trend in men's fashion that blends cultures, built around iconic monochrome patterns.
The color palette was unified into white, black, and navy. Items included classic workwear and tailoring, such as Harrington jackets and denim jackets, leather jackets, short-sleeved crewneck sweaters, and V-neck sleeveless tops, all of which are Neil Barrett staples, but with rolled-up sleeves and hems, a contemporary balance was achieved.
The designer is also adept at expressing his signature lines with shoes accented with studs and metal.
