Neil Barrett presented his collection at the Milan Men's Collection Fall/Winter 2013-14 on January 12th. This season, he drew inspiration from the Bauhaus movement. The color palette was minimal: black, white, charcoal, bright red, and deep blue. A cigarette smoke-like print also appeared. The details were constructed without superficial ornamentation, with the seams and cuts serving as decorative elements. Fasteners such as buttons, zippers, and Velcro were all hidden, resulting in a minimalist design. Geometric color blocks, featuring curves and square lines, appeared on sweatshirts and blousons. The silhouettes featured skinny bottoms. The outerwear was styled slightly oversized. Classic coats featured dropped shoulders and an in-belt waistband. Sweatshirts and blousons also featured rounded shoulders. Many pieces combined sporty styles with tailored detailing, making them suitable for both casual and formal occasions.
