On the 22nd, FACETASM presented their Spring/Summer 2016 men's collection at the Armani Teatro in Milan. This was the ninth time the designers were invited to participate in Giorgio Armani's program for supporting young designers, which began two years ago. Previously, designers like Andrea Pompilio and Stella Jean have presented their collections on this stage. This was the first time a designer not based in Milan had presented their collections abroad, and FACETASM's first overseas show. The runway, which was designed to create a street-style feel by walking very close to the audience, was completely unadorned. Taking advantage of the luxurious Armani Teatro venue, the flat black floor was illuminated with only lighting, creating a clean and elegant atmosphere as models walked one after another. The brand's signature layered style was kept simple and understated. Items like MA1 jackets, paceball jackets, rider vests, pullover trench coats, and sweatshirts were paired with the brand's signature quilted pants, paired with knee-high socks, sneakers, and sandals for a canvas look. The frills and string lace details are a genderless proposal typical of FACETASM. The limited number of colors and patterns, with an as understated look, expresses the pure essence of FACETASM. "We wanted to show the same street-style fashion we've shown in Tokyo up until now. Since the climate and ethnicity are different to what we show in Tokyo, we deliberately kept the colors and styling simple. As for layering, we've thought that wearing two T-shirts at once looks cooler since we were in elementary school, so we're simply designing based on our natural feelings. We participated in a joint exhibition in Paris in the spring, and this is our first show, so we're excited to see how it's received overseas," said designer Ochiai Hiromichi.
