Frederic Cassel will release its Valentine's Day collection, "Coffret Mille-feuille" (2,700 yen), on January 25th.
This Valentine's Day, they are releasing "Chocolat Mille-feuille," a single chocolate version of "Mille-feuille Vanille," a particularly popular item among Frederic Cassel's many patisseries that was also selected as "Best Mille-feuille" in a contest hosted by the French Patisserie Federation in 2010. This is an evolved version of "Mille-feuille Finger," a finger-sized mille-feuille also based on "Mille-feuille Vanille," and is made into bite-sized pieces that are easier to eat. The surface is decorated with a traditional mille-feuille glacé sugar coating. The set includes six flavors: "Chocolat Mille-feuille Vanille," "Chocolat Mille-feuille Fraise," "Chocolat Mille-feuille Pistache," "Chocolat Mille-feuille Noisette," "Chocolat Mille-feuille Raspberry," and "Chocolat Mille-feuille The Orange."
In addition, "Mille-feuille Finger" (700 yen), which was released in 2016, will also be available at "Salon du Chocolat Tokyo 2017," which will be held from February 2nd to 5th. Also available is a bonbon chocolate assortment (4 pieces/1,400 yen, 6 pieces/2,000 yen, 10 pieces/3,200 yen, 15 pieces/4,700 yen, 30 pieces/9,200 yen), which is a selection of "Fruit Rouge" ganache that captures the vibrant acidity and fruitiness of red fruits.
