Starting today, Kyoto bakery brand "Briant" has begun offering "Amabie Bread."

"Amabie," the model for "Amabie Bread," is a yokai (Japanese monster) that appeared in Kumamoto Prefecture in the late Edo period and is said to have the power to ward off epidemics. In order to fulfill the legend's words, "Show the people what you see," we have made repeated improvements to recreate the appearance of Amabie, despite the difficulty of creating the bread.

Due to the characteristics of bread, there will be variations (individuality) in the finished product.

The hair is made from sweet bread dough mixed with strawberry powder. The scales are made from sweet bread dough and chocolate. The eyes are made from sugar and chocolate. The inside is chocolate cream.
