In March 2021, Isetan Shinjuku hosted "Dear Friend, Department - minä perhonen in ISETAN SHINJUKU -," an event in which min perhonen created a small department store based on the concept of "feelings of caring for loved ones." The collaboration items with Porter that were unveiled there and received such rave reviews will now be available in an expanded lineup for pre-sale on the Isetan Mitsukoshi online store.
min perhonen's popular textile, "tambourine," has been expanded to include six new styles in addition to the four previously announced styles, for a total of 10 styles in three colors each. Additionally, "Symphony," a textile featuring delicate embroidery that was introduced in the 2019-20 AW collection and quickly sold out, will be making its first appearance in a Porter collaboration. Six designs are available in two colors each. "Symphony" embodies the desire to "build a joyful future," just like a world where animals, birds, and plants embrace their differences and live in harmony. Each piece is designed to inspire travel, seeking out never-before-seen landscapes. With customer safety and security as our top priority, we are introducing the collection in a "showrooming" format for the first time at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, our base of operations. This is a new sales method, with in-store displays only and all sales conducted online.
