Aquascutum, the long-established British brand, will hold a limited-time event at Daikanyama T-Site from February 20th to March 4th, titled "The Roots of the British Trench Coat: Discovering Authentic Coats Backed by Tradition." This event will be held on one side of the two gallery spaces as part of Daikanyama T-Site's Great British Days fair. Aquascutum, said to be the originator of the British trench coat, will introduce the history of British coats and the craftsmanship passed down through factories. In addition, vintage coats not for sale will also be on display. Also on sale will be the "Coat Bible" (¥2,400), which compiles everything you need to know about trench coats, as well as special exhibition pins (starting at ¥800) and tote bags (¥2,500). This is a unique attempt to combine Daikanyama T-Site's content, such as books, music, and films, with actual exhibits from the brand's archives.
On February 28th, designer Akira Ochiai, who has been promoting the brand's appeal for over 40 years, will hold a trench coat sale. He will introduce British-style styling for any occasion, how to tie a belt, and stories about the brand and celebrities. He will also give advice on how to choose a trench coat.
In addition, if you purchase a trench coat on the day of the sale, you will receive an original brand sticker as a gift.
