GRIND, the men's fashion magazine published by Medium, was independently launched on August 9th, roughly five years after its first publication. Going forward, it will be released as a fully monthly magazine (except January and July), on the 10th of each month (the August issue will be released on the 9th, as the 10th is a distribution holiday). It will cost 680 yen and have a circulation of 100,000 copies. The cover of this commemorative issue features actor and artist Kubozuka Yosuke. To mark the start of the fall/winter fashion season, the magazine features brands such as sacai, Y-3, LUKER by neighborhood, FACETASM, and C.E. It will also feature serials by Tanaka Hiroto of United Arrows, media creator HiRock, Kato Tadayuki of Beams, stylist Futamura Takeshi, and creator Nomura Kunichi.
A special corner will also be set up at Daikanyama T-Site Bookstore, where the first 100 people to purchase this issue will receive an original NEIGHBORHOOD memo pad.
The magazine was launched in April 2009 and is aimed at fashion-conscious men in their 30s. It proposes a playful, adult style, dubbed "high street," to people who lived through the 90s, the decade when street culture and fashion were born.
