BOSS presented its 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection in New York on February 18th. Artistic Director Jason Wu titled this season's theme "Industrial Beauty," simplifying silhouettes with minimal details and showcasing innovative structural possibilities through cutting. All silhouettes, including long coats, jackets, dresses, and sets, are minimalist with straight I-lines, creating a classic style reminiscent of a gentleman's wardrobe. However, focusing on details such as intricate cutting and shoulder lines reveals smooth, curvaceous beauty. This crystallizes another theme Jason has pursued: reinventing and preserving the masculine tradition that is so essential to BOSS for modern women. The color palette is based on black, gray, and anthracite, with vermilion peeking through slits and blue inset panels providing contrasting accents. The simple silhouettes further highlight the attention to detail used in the fabrics. The collection strongly reflected Jason's innovative ideas, with items such as pantsuits made from bonded jersey and melange wool, double-face coats and jackets with deliberately uneven edges, and metallic yarn woven into translucent dresses.
