"Fashion Photography in a New Light," an exhibition featuring three photographers active in the fashion industry, will be held at IMA CONCEPT STORE in Roppongi from February 26th to March 29th.
The exhibition commemorates the release of photography magazine "IMA Vol. 11," which features "Fashion and the Body." The exhibition features works by three up-and-coming photographers featured in the issue: Yoshiyuki Okuyama, Charlie Engman, and Robi Rodriguez.
Yoshiyuki Okuyama is a young photographer active in various magazines, and his analog techniques have given his photographs a distinctive lo-fi feel, embodying the contemporary sensibilities of Tokyo's current chaotic times. The exhibition will feature a selection of archival works from his collaboration with ANREALAGE, considered one of his most well-known works.

Meanwhile, Charlie Engman is a photographer active in fashion magazines such as Vogue, known for his fashion shoots that make use of ideas and physicality. He develops a bold physical expression born from his editorial work for international magazines. Robi Rodriguez, meanwhile, is a cutting-edge photographer who is redefining the fashion image of high-end brands while working for fashion magazines such as The Gentlewoman and Pop. In his "Ladies Night" series, he expresses the ideals and realities of the fashion industry by placing working-class elderly and middle-aged women at the front of the show. He captures the contradictory aspects of fashion in a cynical and humorous way.
