HUGO BOSS will open one of Japan's largest street-level stores on October 31st in the south wing of Mitsui Fudosan Development's Shinsaibashi Square (2-8-20 Shinsaibashisuji, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). Opening hours are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM (until 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays). The 500-square-meter store will feature BOSS men's and women's sportswear, as well as the sportswear line BOSS Green, on the first floor, and BOSS formalwear and the custom-made line BOSS Made to Measure (launching in Fall 2015) on the second floor. It will also carry runway collections by artistic director Jason Wu. The Shinsaibashi and Roppongi stores are the only locations in Japan where the store will be open.
The façade features a contrasting design, mixing matte black surfaces with shimmering silver-nickel materials to highlight illuminated wire mesh elements. The interior has a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, with black steel grid set against a fabric background, and the matte coatings and fabric textures contrast with high-gloss and mirror-finish surfaces.
Shinsaibashi Square is located in an area along Midosuji Boulevard lined with fashion brands. It consists of two two-story buildings, the South Tower and the North Tower, with a luxury brand store scheduled to open in the North Tower next spring.
