Louis Vuitton unveils new campaign visuals for its iconic fragrance, Ombre Nomade

Louis Vuitton has released a new campaign visual for Ombre Nomade, one of its fragrance collections.

Five years after its launch, Ombre Nomade has become known worldwide as one of Louis Vuitton's most iconic fragrances, thanks to its mysterious and profound scent signature. In the newly released campaign, set in a vast sandy world, Ombre Nomade, bathed in golden light, invites you on a journey to uncover the desert's most beautiful secrets.

Mysterious Oud
To create "Ombre Nomade," in-house Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud delved into the scent culture of the Middle East, paying homage to oud (agarwood), a signature fragrance of the region. While oud is a rare resin, Jacques's quest for the finest quality led him to source exceptional oud from a plantation in Bangladesh, where it offers spicy notes, leathery accents, and a rich woody character.

Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud says:
"This is an oud of extraordinary richness, infinitely complex and multifaceted, which continually surprises those who wear it. A family in Bangladesh that has been cultivating this exceptional variety for 200 years has become Louis Vuitton's exclusive supplier. Under a reciprocal, long-term agreement, the plantation is managed using ethical cultivation methods that respect the environment, human rights, traditions and the future, and the entire production of this exceptional oud is supplied to the Maison. This fragrance is not obtained by mechanical means, but is the product of living processes. This is the hallmark of true luxury."

Jacques Cavallier Belletrud accented oud, nicknamed "black gold" for its preciousness, with benzoin, raspberry, rose, and rose geranium, adding a spiritual depth with incense.


Deep Bottle Color
The original Louis Vuitton fragrance bottle, designed by Marc Newson, is dark in color, but it is neither opaque nor jet black. The fragrance radiates a golden glow through the precious glass of the bottle. The inscription "OMBRE NOMADE" is overlaid in a delicately patinated gold-tone metal over a transparently engraved Louis Vuitton signature.


A Collection Inspired by the Middle East
Les Parfums Louis Vuitton's homage to Middle Eastern fragrance culture goes beyond unique ingredients and inspirations. With each fragrance, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud rediscovers his connection to Middle Eastern olfactory traditions through his own creative process and a shared love of textured, refined scents.
