JR Kyoto Isetan will be hosting the "France Exhibition" from April 24th to 29th, where you can enjoy authentic French flavors in a casual, food court-style setting.

One must-see is La Mère Poulard, which will be opening its first branch in the Kyoto area. This long-established restaurant was founded in Mont Saint-Michel in 1888. At this event, the signature dish, the "Fluffy Omelette," from among the roughly 700 recipes created by the founder, will be on offer, along with the limited-edition "Bamboo Shoot and Dried Roe Cream Omelette" (2,700 yen, limited to 60 per day), which uses bamboo shoots from Kyoto. Don't miss out on a try!

You can't miss the "Croissant Français" (519 yen) from Maison Landemaine, a boulangerie that has been loved in its hometown of Paris and is always a hot topic in Tokyo, with long lines of customers waiting to get in. This time, they will also be introducing a new product, the "Kyoto Mizuna Petit Pan Quiche" (735 yen), which uses mizuna grown in Kyoto.

Benoit Chocolat, a talented female chocolatier who was awarded the prestigious French National Order of Merit, "Chevalier," in 2016, will also be setting up a stall. In addition to their specialties, the venue will also feature the much talked about fourth type of chocolate, "Ruby Chocolate." There will also be a chocolate fountain tasting event at the venue.

"Caramon® Noir & Ruby" (110g/2,862 yen)

Laurent & Kyoko Duchesne, a popular patisserie duo made by talented pastry chef Laurent Duchesne, who earned the title of M.O.F. (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) at the young age of 29, and his Japanese wife, create exquisite chocolates and baked goods. We're introducing the exquisite apple pie "Chausson aux Pommes" (756 yen). Its crispy texture is addictive, not too sweet or sour.
