Iranian breakfast featuring naan. World Breakfast Allday, a global breakfast restaurant

Event Date:2019.02.05-03.31
Feb 5, 2019
WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY, a restaurant based in Tokyo, features breakfasts from around the world every two months, based on the theme of "Understanding the World through Breakfast." The new menu for February and March features Iranian breakfast.

Once known as Persia, Iran flourished as a stopover on the Silk Road, where Eastern and Western cultures intersected, starting around the 3rd century. Like Japan, Iran boasts four distinct seasons, and while it also boasts mountainous and desert regions, it is also home to fertile grain-producing areas.

As an Islamic nation, Iran adheres to dietary rules, such as abstaining from pork, and a unique food culture known as Persian cuisine has taken root. The main ingredients are saffron, which is the world's largest producer, rosewater, cinnamon, and dill. The star of the breakfast is naan. There are several types of naan, but this time, World Breakfast All Day will be serving the thick "Barbari." It is served with raw vegetables such as herbs and chives, along with white fresh cheese called "paneer," fresh cream, and honey. The garnish is "kuku sabzi," an omelet filled with vegetables and herbs.

In addition to breakfast, we also hope you will take this opportunity to try other menu items, such as traditional Iranian drinks and desserts.

World Breakfast All Day is open at two stores, the Gaienmae store and the Harajuku store. You can eat Iranian food from February 5th to March 31st. During this period, various events are planned, including Iranian cooking classes, workshops to learn about Iranian food culture, and mini concerts.
