Folk Kitchen, the all-day dining restaurant at Hilton Osaka, will be hosting a strawberry dessert buffet entitled "Surrounded by a World of Flowers" from January 5th to May 26th, 2019, perfect for a bright start to the New Year.


This will be the first strawberry dessert buffet since the restaurant reopened, and will feature around 25 romantic desserts inspired by roses and bouquets in a space filled with flowers.

The buffet table, filled with flowers where fairies gather, is lined with a variety of signature sweets, including the "Strawberry and Mascarpone Cheese Roll Cake" decorated with delicate sugar butterflies, the "Pink Flower Dress Cake" with plenty of berry cream squeezed into a flower-like shape, and the "Milk Pudding Where Bees Gather." The "Sweet Donut Tower" smothered in strawberry cream and white chocolate makes a great photo spot.

This time, the dessert buffet will be a feast for not only the senses of taste and sight, but also the sense of smell. While the desserts are made with plenty of strawberries, they are also characterized by the captivating scent of flowers such as osmanthus, cherry blossoms, and violets. Just like choosing flowers, you can enjoy creating your own bouquet plate.

"Little Devil Strawberry Tart"
Pastry chef Momota's recommended "Fluttering Spring Breeze Mousse" is a cute cake with strawberry and coconut mousse filled with lemon compote and fluttering flower petals. The eye-catching purple "Little Devil Strawberry Tart" is made with a tart base topped with strawberry and rhubarb sauce and plenty of violet-scented cream.

In addition to sweets, you can also enjoy the ever-popular, slow-cooked special curry served with cherry-colored rice and strawberry sauce, cherry blossom-flavored tortilla chips, and corn soup garnished with dried strawberries. During this period, strawberry desserts can also be enjoyed at the dinner buffet and afternoon tea. Folk Kitchen's "Dinner Buffet" (4,800 yen) offers 15 types of strawberry desserts, as well as a total of 40 items such as roast beef and pasta, and seven types of drinks including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. In addition, the cafe and bar MYPLACE on the first floor of the hotel will be offering a limited quantity of the "Afternoon Tea Set - Strawberry Flower Box" (3,300 yen), which is shaped like a jewelry box.
