Strawberry-themed dessert fair extended due to popular cat collaboration! Hilton Tokyo will be held during Golden Week

Event Date:2018.12.26-2019.06.03
Mar 27, 2019
The annual strawberry dessert fair "Strawberry CATS Collection," held at the Marble Lounge on the first floor of Hilton Tokyo, has been extended until June 3rd.

The dessert fair has become a signature feature of the Hilton Tokyo Marble Lounge. The previous fair used 78,000 packs of strawberries, approximately 22 tons, throughout the hotel. This time, under the theme of the "Strawberry CATS Collection," the fair features a collaboration between cute cats and strawberry desserts set in the streets of Paris. Featuring cats strutting freely through the streets of Paris and approximately 30 new strawberry desserts neatly arranged on the buffet table, this fair will have you captivated by the adorable cats and stylish Parisian spirit from the moment you step into the lounge. Cats appear in unexpected poses in various places around Paris, such as the stage of the Moulin Rouge, open cafes, the Eiffel Tower, and flea markets. You can spend a blissful moment surrounded by various strawberry desserts, along with the cats who are always looking for dessert.

Strawberry Tart à la Parisienne
Hilton Tokyo's Executive Pastry Chef, Osamu Handa, presents a new 2019 dessert collection featuring a French style made with plenty of fresh strawberries. The "Strawberry Tarte à la Parisienne" is a crispy tart topped with bitter orange-flavored custard cream and lustrous strawberries, topped with pistachios and orange confit for a slightly more sophisticated taste.

In addition, there are whole cakes such as the Saint-Honoré-style "Marche no Ichigo" with baked apples hidden in pie crust and topped with fluffy whipped cream and strawberries, the "Cat-Chan Strawberry Montelimar" with walnut and almond honey mousse topped with strawberry cream and berries, and the elegant "Strawberry Ispahan" with rose, lychee, and strawberry flavors, as well as the fragrant Fraise des Bois hidden in strawberry mousse and raspberry. The chef's playful sweets include "Ma Minette," decorated with cat ears, "Strawberry 'Tabby' Charlotte," an irresistible tabby-patterned biscuit, "Le Chat Rouge," a ruby chocolate and passion fruit tart topped with plenty of strawberries and adorable paw prints, and "Cat Punch," a bite-sized cream bun shaped like a round, squishy cat's paw.

In addition to glasses piled high with fresh strawberries, you can also enjoy glass sweets such as "Strawberry Tiramisu" with poppy-scented mascarpone cream and freeze-dried strawberries, "Strawberry Parfait" with meringue and berry compote, and "Strawberry Shot" with the refreshing scent of lemon verbena, as well as "macarons," "cold marble ice cream," and three "chocolate fountains" as much as you like.

In addition to the popular strawberry desserts, new desserts inspired by the south of France, Provence, will also be available for a limited time from May 7th to June 3rd. The dessert menu, themed "A feline friend from the south of France is coming to Paris!" and perfect for early summer, features around 10 new sweets made with lavender, honey, lemon, and orange.

Other light meals available include Parisian favorites such as "baguette sandwiches" made with a variety of fillings, "bouillabaisse" filled with seafood, "mushroom and bacon quiche," and "couscous salad," making them perfect for an elegant tea time or a late lunch. Why not spend a moment feeling the arrival of the season with a sweet and sour strawberry dessert?
