To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Dean & Deluca's arrival in Japan, Dean & Deluca is offering a limited-time "Deluca's Apple Pie," a reproduction of the homemade apple pie of the Deluca family, the brand's founder. It will be available for pre-order only until December 16th.
"Deluca's Apple Pie" (24cm diameter, 5,000 yen)
This holiday-only product, "Deluca's Apple Pie" (24cm diameter, 5,000 yen), was created by Hitomi Watanabe-Deluca, wife of Giorgio Deluca, one of Dean & Deluca's founders. Deluca, a lover of baked goods, began making sweets after lamenting his inability to find delicious fruit pastries in New York. After repeated trial and error, from the dough composition to the type of apples used, Deluca's beloved apple pie recipe was born.
"Deluca's Apple Pie," a reproduction of the Deluca family's homemade apple pie, is made using his wife's lovingly secret recipe, resulting in an exquisite combination of crispy pie crust and sweet, melt-in-your-mouth apples. The Deluca family's recommended way to enjoy it is to warm the sliced pie well in the toaster or oven, then pour a little liquid heavy cream over it.
Pre-orders are open until December 16th. Reservations can be made and products can be picked up at Market stores in the Kanto region (Roppongi, Shinagawa, Yurakucho, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ebisu, Hiroo, Yaesu, Kichijoji, Yokohama, Atre Kawasaki) and at some Cafe stores in the Kanto region (Marunouchi, Aoyama, Seijo, Shinjuku NEWoMan, Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C., Tama Plaza Terrace, Terrace Mall Shonan).
