Designer Kim Jones visited Japan to coincide with the opening of his pre-sale limited-time shop, "KIM JONES GU PRODUCTION," which will open at Dover Street Market Ginza (DSMG) for four days only from March 17th.

Gary Card, who designed the display set for the shop, also visited Japan for a reception held the day before. Coincidentally, Virgil Abloh of OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH™, who was in Japan for the opening of his solo exhibition "PAY PER VIEW" at Kaikai Kiki Gallery in Hiroo on the same day, also attended, bringing together some of today's most notable fashion creators in Tokyo over the weekend.

The pop-up on the first floor was created by Garry Card, a popular artist who has collaborated with numerous luxury brands, including Moschino's men's collection, Balenciaga's campaign visual sets, and Hermes, Loewe, and Comme des Garçons. The wall gate features Kim's original pickle character, Mr. Gherkin, elevated to graffiti art, mixed with DSMG's iconic elephant, creating a dense space.A similar graffiti panel has also been installed at Café Rose Bakery on the seventh floor of DSMG, and is likely to become a hot topic on social media.

"Kim and I have been friends for a really long time, but this is the first time we have worked together like this. I am really happy to have this opportunity in Tokyo, which I love," said Gary, continuing to apply stickers to his pieces as he seemed to be enjoying his first trip to Tokyo.

Kim Jones also beamed, saying of his signature brand "Kim Jones," which he launched before working on men's wear for Louis Vuitton, "I am excited to be able to revive pieces from past collections at this milestone of 10 years." In Japan, where many fans know his name, he was catching up with friends.

At the DSMG pop-up, which will run until the 20th, limited items printed with the "dover street market" special logo exclusive to Dover Street Market Ginza will be sold at GU prices, with graphic T-shirts priced at 990 yen, sweatshirts at 1,990 yen, and big sweat full-zip hoodies at 2,990 yen.

General products will go on sale from the 21st at some large GU stores and the online store.
