Haluta, a lifestyle shop based in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture, will open a limited-time "Haluta Tokyo Preparation Room" in the basement of Ralph Lauren (4-25-15 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) in Omotesando to prepare for its Tokyo store opening. The first exhibition will be held from June 4th to 7th. The venue will feature Danish brands such as HAY, House Doctor, and Irma, as well as Scandinavian vintage furniture. Founded in 2003, Haluta develops highly functional products adapted to modern lifestyles while retaining a focus on mid-century modern design. House Doctor is a general goods brand characterized by simple, retro Scandinavian designs. Irma is a popular Danish supermarket. The original tote bags and kitchen goods featuring the store's logo, "Iyama-chan," are popular both in Denmark and abroad.
Haruta has two stores in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture, and the shops, renovated from old houses, also have cafes attached. They sell bread, cakes, baked goods, tableware, clothing, household items, and furniture. They have also opened a bakery shop called "Haluta Karuizawa" in Karuizawa.
