Toraya Cafe now offers parfaits, fondants, and bean paste made with plenty of seasonal Japanese chestnuts!

Aug 9, 2017

Toraya Cafe Aoyama and Toraya Cafe An Stand Shinjuku will be introducing a limited-edition seasonal treat featuring plenty of seasonal domestic chestnuts starting September 19th (planned). Available exclusively at Toraya Cafe Aoyama until October 31st, the "Japanese Chestnut Parfait" (1,100 yen) features chestnuts simmered in their skins, minced meat, yokan, soy milk ice cream, and bean paste, all made with Japanese chestnuts. The ice cream is garnished with Toraya Cafe's bean paste paste (Ogura An), and topped with walnut crackers, shiratama (rice flour dumplings), and roasted green tea agar jelly for added texture. Additionally, Toraya Cafe Aoyama and Toraya Cafe An Stand Shinjuku will be serving the "Japanese Chestnut and Chocolate Fondant," made with this year's fresh chestnuts and combining smooth and white bean paste with plenty of Japanese chestnut paste. This treat is available in-store only at the Aoyama branch until November 30th, and costs 750 yen. Take-out will be available at both stores until late November, with the regular size priced at 3,500 yen and the small size at 500 yen.

In addition, the "An Paste [Chestnut] Small" (800 yen), made with domestic and French chestnuts and white bean paste made from 100% precious white azuki beans, will also be available until late November.
