Following on from the hugely popular Strawberry Sweets & Sandwich Buffet, Hotel New Otani Osaka's Tea & Cocktail Lounge, "SATSUKI LOUNGE," will be hosting the "Sweets & Sandwich Buffet - Chestnut and Matcha Hospitality" from September 1st to October 31st.

This fall's theme is "Japanese Sweets." Enjoy a wide variety of sweets made with fragrant matcha and hojicha green tea from Uji, Kyoto, including the "Rich Matcha Soufflé Cheese," which combines more than twice the usual amount of matcha with mascarpone; the "Matcha Macaron," made with plenty of matcha cream and topped with tencha tea before being baked in the oven; the "Matcha Opera," with layers of chocolate cream and ganache sandwiched between rich matcha sponge cake; the fluffy and creamy "Matcha Tiramisu," and the "Hojicha Roll," accented with agar and dainagon beans. Chestnut-based sweets include chestnut tart and chestnut mille-feuille, but the standout item is the "Super Mont Blanc" (usually 2,100 yen per piece), made with carefully selected Japanese chestnuts. This Mont Blanc, made with a generous amount of brown sugar syrup, is filled with rich roasted almond milk and candied Japanese chestnuts, creating the ultimate Japanese dessert. In addition to chestnut and matcha sweets, the buffet also offers five gourmet sandwiches, including pork cutlet and cream cheese, making for a total of 35 dishes. The first part of the buffet is from 11:30 AM to 1 PM, and the second part is from 1:30 PM to 3 PM (only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). Prices are 5,000 yen for adults on weekdays and 5,500 yen on holidays, 2,500 yen for elementary school students, and 1,000 yen for children (ages 4 and up) (tax and service charge included).
